With so many action heroes in the Expendables it was hard to pass watching this movie down, however having said that I was also worried that bringing the most famous action heroes all onto the same screen would have been a case of "too many cooks in the kitchen" and sadly I was correct.

On the surface of this movie we have possibly every Hollywood actor who has ever starred in an action epic and because of this each one of them seems to have their own little action moment which ultimately destroys the story telling quicker than a tactical nuke.

The downfall to this movie is not only the story telling because I'm sure this would have been forgiven by action fans if it actual had tons of action in it, however it doesn't and when it does come to the action the shots are so quickly edited you won't be able to see who is fighting who. I'm really disappointed by the action in this movie because I honestly thought this may have been the blockbuster that this summer needed, but unfortunately it wasn't.

From a movie like this I was also expecting some funny 1 liners and a bit of whit from the cast however there was no comedy elements what so ever except for Jet Li's character asking for a pay rise, but that wasn't funny after the first 5 times.

Having said all of the above bad points some solace can be taken from the fact that this movie gets all of the big named action heroes onto the screen and seeing the likes of Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stallone share a moment. However I'm still disappointed that this movie had the greatest action stars from Hollywood and did nothing with them.
